    Description

    1913-S Cent, MS65 Red
    Rare CAC-Approved Example

1913-S 1C MS65 Red PCGS. CAC. The 1913-S is only classified as scarce in Gem Red condition, although high-quality examples in this grade are decidedly rare, as are finer pieces. Consider the CAC population...just six Gem Red coins are endorsed with high quality for the grade, and only one of the five higher-grade 1913-S cents reported is likewise CAC endorsed. The Duckor coin is thus among an elite group of Gem Red 1913-S cents that surpasses the quality of most other examples. The satiny reddish-orange surfaces have original color, which specialists of the series will appreciate. The strike is sharp, and neither side has bothersome carbon spotting. Population: 73 in 65 (14 in 65+) Red, 5 finer. CAC: 13% of a total 46 submissions for this issue/grade passed. 6 in 65, 1 finer (2/20).
