1916 1C PR66 Red and Brown PCGS. CAC. The scarcest matte proof Lincoln, following the the 1909 VDB. High-end Red and Brown or Red 1916s are scarce, and few carry CAC endorsement. This Premium Gem is fully struck and well-textured, showing modest tan-gold and reddish hues. A few chestnut overtones earn the Red and Brown designation, although this coin clearly leans toward the Red end of that range. Population: 29 in 66 (2 in 66+) Red and Brown, 4 finer; 5 in 66 Red, 0 finer. CAC: 14 in 66, 1 finer (4/19).(Registry values: N4719)
