    Type One, Satin Finish

    1936 1C Type One -- Satin Finish PR66 Red and Brown PCGS. This is the first of two proof finishes that appeared in 1936. The satin finish is a cross between the matte proofs struck two decades earlier, and the brilliant proofs that appeared later in 1936. This Premium Gem has nearly full red mint color on the obverse, and blends orange, violet, and green on the reverse. Population: 7 in 66 (2 in 66+) Red and Brown, 0 finer (7/16).(Registry values: P1) (NGC ID# 22L2, PCGS# 3331)
