1937 Lincoln Cent, PR67 Red Cameo
One Finer at NGC and PCGS Combined

1937 1C PR67 Red Cameo NGC. The Cameo designation is only grudgingly given by either service to survivors of the 9,320-piece 1937 proof mintage. The overwhelming majority of proofs show no field/device contrast whatsoever. This Superb Gem Cameo gets an assist from the liquidlike mirrored fields, which surround satiny raised motifs that display a thin skin of mint frost. The immaculate surfaces radiate flame-orange glow, with no more than three or four inconsequential flecks under the scrutiny of a lens. Census: 8 in 67 Red Cameo (4 in 67 ), 1 finer (3/20).(Registry values: P2)

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22L4, PCGS# 83338)

    Weight: 3.11 grams

    Metal: 95% Copper, 5% Tin & Zinc
