    Description

    1941 FS-101 Cent, MS66+ Red
    Doubled Die Obverse

1941 1C Doubled Die Obverse, FS-101, MS66+ Red PCGS. CAC. Die doubling is strongest on LIBERTY and the date, but it also shows on the motto. Although FS-101 remains unlisted in the Guide Book, this variety has been known to collectors and sought-after for decades. Shimmering luster radiates from clean copper-gold surfaces. Lincoln's beard and the O in ONE are a bit soft, but the lines on the wheat stalks are crisp. Among the finest 1941 Doubled Die Obverse cents at PCGS, including all varieties (1/20). (NGC ID# 22DW, Variety PCGS# 37780, Base PCGS# 92695)

    Weight: 3.11 grams
