    Model for Lincoln Cent

    1907 Victor D. Brenner Lincoln Plaque. Cunningham-24-060Bz. Bronze, 180 mm x 240 mm x 8 mm. Brenner's 1907 plaque was the model for the 1909 Lincoln cent. The plaque presents a half-length portrait of a bearded President Lincoln facing right. The plaque is backed by dark green marble interspersed with lighter olive-green streaks. The marble measures 215 mm x 275 mm x 10 mm. The back of the marble features a bronze stand. Lincoln's coat has been lightly textured by hand, likely as issued. The marble has a small chip on the upper left front corner.
