Description

1916 Mercury Dime, MS68 Full Bands
Top-Grade Registry Coin

1916 10C MS68 Full Bands PCGS Secure. Mercury dimes in MS68 Full Bands are collectively rare if dated earlier than 1934. The 1916 Philadelphia issue was well-saved for the novelty of the new design, and this date alone has 13 MS68 Full Bands representatives at PCGS, none finer (11/18). However, these are heavily sought-after by type collectors as well as Registry Set builders. The present coin displays blazing luster and warm golden toning that lightens toward the centers. Parallel die striations (mint made) are visible in the fields on each side when viewed with a loupe. Population: 13 in 68 Full Bands, 0 finer (11/18).
