Description
In-Demand Choice AU 1916-D Dime
Sharply Struck and Appealing
1916-D 10C AU55 PCGS. This key-date coin is sure to be much
in demand as, while the market sees an overabundance of 1916-Ds in
AG to Very Good condition, coins ranging from Fine to AU are seldom
offered. This Choice AU example displays mostly silver-gray
surfaces with mere blushes of color on the obverse. A splash of
cinnamon appears on the upper left reverse quadrant, with much of
the luster remaining on both sides. The mintmark is from Die 1,
high, tilting right a bit, and closer to the leaf than the stem.
The strike is sharp, and only minor high-point wear separates this
piece from Mint State.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23GY, PCGS# 4906, GSID# 4523)
