1916-D 10C --Improperly Cleaned--NGC. XF Details. The 1916-D is the key issue to a collection of Mercury dimes, from a mintage of just 264,000 coins. Every other Mercury dime issue, with the possible exception of the two 1942 overdates, had a mintage of more than 1 million coins. This example has excellent detail with only light wear. The surfaces are bright silver with no evidence of toning.
