Description

Important Key Date 1916-D Mercury Dime

1916-D 10C MS62 ANACS. Lustrous and boldly struck, with minor weakness on the fasces and the central reverse bands. This is still an important and conditionally scarce representative of the unquestioned key date in the Mercury dime series. Deep purple, rose, golden-brown and cobalt-blue patina adorns the reverse and the upper half of the obverse. Just one or two tiny contact marks are revealed on each side, under careful inspection. (Registry values: N2998)
