Select Full Bands 1916-D Dime

1916-D 10C MS63 Full Bands PCGS. The 1916-D dime was saved in small quantities when it was delivered to banks; though it was the first-year issue, casual-collector interest was low compared to the West and East Coasts, and as a result, Mint State survivors make up only a small portion of the existing issue. This lovely Select piece is a notable exception, crisply detailed with luminous peach-gold and rose shadings that drape each side. Liberty's portrait offers solid detail, and the bands on the reverse, though a touch flat, are cleanly separated. Minor, scattered marks account for the grade.(Registry values: N4719)
