Description

1917-D Dime, MS66+ Full Bands
Just Two Finer Pieces Known

1917-D 10C MS66+ Full Bands NGC. The 1917-D with Full Bands is challenging in Gem, becoming conditionally rare in Premium Gem. This Plus-graded Premium Gem displays satiny luster on iridescent shades of caramel, plum and cobalt-blue. Sharply struck devices show only a couple of tiny nicks on the cheek. The issue has not been represented in our auctions with a piece this fine since 2019, and NGC and PCGS each report only one piece each in MS67, with none finer (10/25). This Premium Gem makes a strong candidate for Registry and type sets.
