Description
1919-D Mercury Dime, MS65+
CAC-Approved Full Bands Example
1919-D 10C MS65+ Full Bands PCGS. CAC. The 1919-D Mercury
dime claims a mintage of more than 9.9 million pieces, but the
issue is much more difficult to locate in higher Mint State grades
than the ample production figure would suggest. Examples in MS65
condition, with the Full Bands designation, are definitely rare.
This delightful Plus-graded Gem exhibits unusually sharp design
elements, with Full Bands definition on the fasces. The mostly
brilliant surfaces show a few subtle hints of sea-green and amber
toning, with vibrant mint luster on both sides. Overall eye appeal
is terrific. Population: 17 in 65 (1 in 65+) Full Bands, 6 finer.
CAC: 3 in 65, 3 finer (5/21).(Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23H9, PCGS# 4925, Greysheet# 4536)
Weight: 2.49 grams
