    Strike Rarity 1919-S Mercury Dime

1919-S 10C MS63 Full Bands PCGS. There can be little doubt that the vast majority of the 8.8 million Dimes produced in the San Francisco Mint in 1919 entered circulation and remained there for many years. Today, the '19-S is only readily obtainable at the most heavily worn levels of preservation. While Mint State coins of any quality are difficult to locate, Full Bands representatives are rarer still. A pleasing coin for the MS63 grade, both sides are free of outwardly distracting bagmarks. The silver-gray surfaces, however, could be a bit more vibrant in terms of luster quality, but the razor sharp strike and fully separated central crossbands easily compensate for this fact. Clashmarks (as produced) are seen in the obverse field along Liberty's profile.
