Full Bands Gem 1919-S Dime
Top-Shelf Eye Appeal

1919-S 10C MS65 Full Bands PCGS. CAC. One of the most challenging mintmarked Mercury dimes, the 1919-S emerges as a condition rarity at the MS65 Full Bands level. This Full Bands Gem, then, should prove to be of great interest to the high-level series enthusiast. It has a light silver base, violet-accented on the obverse, with a pale green-gold overtone that is stronger on the reverse. The strike shows peripheral softness at the B of LIBERTY and the bands are not well-rounded, but the line separating them is clean and complete. Subtly frosted luster has considerable life. Population: 20 in 65 Full Bands, 3 finer (3/12).
