Description

Gem 1920-D Mercury Dime, Full Bands
Bold Strike

1920-D 10C MS65 Full Bands PCGS. Often seen with a "fade-away 0" in the date, the 1920-D Mercury dime was plagued with peripheral striking problems. Gem examples with the Full Bands designation are quite scarce, in spite of the generous mintage of 19 million pieces. The present coin is a rare Gem example with sharp details throughout and bright, satiny luster. Hints of light golden toning grace the pristine obverse fields. Population: 42 in 65 Full Bands, 19 finer (7/10).(Registry values: N2998)
