Description
Condition Census 1920-D Mercury Dime, MS67 Full Bands
1920-D 10C MS67 Full Bands PCGS. Unlike most issues in this series, the 1920-D must be judged by the striking definition over the date as well as the details in the center of the reverse. Fortunately for interested bidders, this coin displays a sharply impressed date that is free of striking incompleteness over the last digit. No less important are the central crossbands, which are fully split from end to end. The faintly toned surfaces display just a hint of natural color over each side. Both major grading services report only four coins at the MS 67 Full Bands grade level, and there are none finer (8/03). A premium quality example that is perhaps a point finer in terms of technical quality.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23HC, PCGS# 4931, Greysheet# 4540)
