Description

1920-S Dime, MS66 Full Bands
Conditionally Elusive Issue

1920-S 10C MS66 Full Bands PCGS. CAC. The obverse of this Premium Gem Full Bands 1920-S dime is largely untoned, although there are some subliminal accents of the palest pink and ice-blue present under magnification and a good light. The reverse shows slightly deeper pinkish-gray and smoky color with a dab of medium blue. Both sides are essentially free of marks and quite well-struck, the crucial central bands showing both bold separation and rounding. One of the elusive semikey issues in the Mercury dime series. This appears to be the first example we have handled in this grade with the added CAC approval. Population: 8 in 66 Full Bands, 3 finer (1/14).(Registry values: N4719)
