Description

1921 Dime, MS66 Full Bands
Low-Mintage Issue, Few Are Finer

1921 10C MS66 Full Bands PCGS. Ex: Holman Collection. The slackening of the U.S. economy after World War I finally caught up with the Mercury dime in 1921. Philadelphia struck only 1.23 million coins that year, and while Full Bands examples constitute the majority of Mint State survivors, there are not sufficient quantities to meet the demands of advanced specialists. This untoned example exhibits silky-smooth surfaces tinted with champagne-gold radiance on sharply struck design elements. PCGS reports just four numerically finer pieces (1/26).
