Description

1921 Mercury Dime, MS67 Full Bands
None Certified Finer at Either Service

1921 10C MS67 Full Bands NGC. The 1921 Mercury dime boasts a low mintage of 1.2 million pieces, and this low production figure made the issue quite popular when the information was first widely disseminated in the 1930s. As a result, many specimens were removed from circulation and hoarded, making the issue fairly available in lower grades. Mint State coins are also more available than the mintage would suggest, but Superb Gems are very rare.

The present coin is a magnificent Superb Gem, with an exemplary strike that imparts full definition to the important bands on the fasces. The brilliant surfaces display booming mint luster, and breath-taking eye appeal. Census: 5 in 67 Full Bands, 0 finer (4/13).(Registry values: N4719)
