Description
1921-D Dime, MS64 Full Bands
Low-Mintage, Key Issue
1921-D 10C MS64 Full Bands NGC. The 1921-D has an
impressively low mintage of just over 1 million pieces. Naturally,
this and the also-low mintage 1921-P are both keys to the Mercury
dime series. This example has subdued, satiny mint luster and we
assume that is the reason for the coin not grading even higher.
Otherwise the surfaces are untoned and refreshingly free from
abrasions. The devices are fully struck in all areas with
especially strong definition on the horizontal and diagonal bands
on the fasces. From The Cliff Street Collection.(Registry values: N1793)
