Description
1921-D Mercury Dime, MS66 Full Bands
Semikey Denver Issue
Ex: Joshua Collection
1921-D 10C MS66 Full Bands PCGS. CAC. Ex: Holman Collection.
The 1921-D Mercury dime is the second lowest in both the design's
mintage and for the Denver Mint series (a little more than 1
million pieces). The increased mintage compared to the 1916-D issue
means that the date is more available in Mint State, but
surprisingly less common with the Full Band attribution. This
scarcity should be of keen interest to those looking for an
exquisite piece with such an elusive attribution. This example displays cold blue-silver luster with austere mars-red dotting its fields and devices. The coin is free from abrasions, with the only notable mark being a die crack at Mercury's neck, which is a variable of the issue. At its grade, this piece is a beautiful addition for Registry collectors. PCGS Population: 30 in 66 (6 in 66+), 2 finer (1/26). CAC: 9 in 66, 1 finer (1/26).
