1923-S Mercury Dime, MS67★
The Finest NGC Specimen
1923-S 10C MS67★ NGC. This Star-designated Superb Gem has
remarkable rainbow iridescence around ivory centers on each side.
The strike is sharp and nearly full, although the central bands on
the reverse are only 90% split. There is no doubt that many would
call this piece "Full Bands." This is one of only two 1923-S
Mercury dimes that NGC has certified as MS67, and it is the only
one in this grade that carries the Star designation (1/24). The
finest NGC Full Bands coins only grade MS66. Census: 2 in 67 (1 in
