Description
Finest Certified 1924 Mercury Dime, An Amazing MS68 Full Bands Coin
1924 10C MS68 Full Bands NGC. While certainly not a rare issue in the Mercury dime series, the 1924 is quite difficult to find with an attractive blend of eye appeal, surface preservation, and reverse strike. This superb gem example, however, combines all of the ingredients that choosy collectors desire. Intense rainbow iridescence adorns the peripheries of both the obverse and the reverse. The pale milky-white patina that overlays the centers does not prevent the underlying mint frost from swirling around this piece. As one would expect from the high grade, the faces are pristine and temptingly close to perfection. The impression is strong and each of the seven bands stands alone. A once-in-a lifetime opportunity for the dime collector who insists upon perfection. This is the single finest example of this issue certified by either NGC or PCGS (2/03).From the Trane Collection.
