Description
Golden Tinged 1926-D Dime in MS65 Full Bands
1926-D 10C MS65 Full Bands PCGS. The Denver Mint seems to have taken more care striking the Mercury Dime in 1926 that any other silver or minor denomination then in production. This does not mean that Full Bands representatives are plentiful in today's market. On the contrary, PCGS reports only 44 coins in MS65 Full Bands, and there are 14 finer (1/03). This coin is fully lustrous with a well frosted finish beneath delicate golden iridescence. The strike is sharp with separated crossbands, but we do note some peripheral softness on the reverse at the tops along the right rim. The latter is a common feature for the issue that in no way affects the desirability of this coin from either a technical or aesthetic standpoint. From the Jay Eisenberg Collection.
