Description

Toned 1926-D Dime, MS66 Full Bands

1926-D 10C MS66 Full Bands PCGS. Ex: Joshua II. David Lange's series reference points out that the 1926-D Mercury dime was produced with better production values than most denominations of this date and mint, a fortunate occurrence for bidders on the present lot. The dappled obverse toning ranges from jade to gold, violet, and lilac, with some silver-white areas remaining. The reverse is mostly untoned, with cinnamon and gold marginal accents. The surfaces are satiny underneath the toning, and the strike is impeccable. Population: 18 in 66 Full Bands, 2 finer (9/09).(Registry values: N2998)
