Description

1926-D Dime, MS66+ Full Bands
Notably Well Struck

1926-D 10C MS66+ Full Bands PCGS. The 1926-D date and mintmark combination is often associated with weak strikes, thanks to the Standing Liberty quarter and Buffalo nickel issues of this date, although the Mercury dime is more easily found in Full Bands quality. Still, such pieces are rare in MS66 or better numeric grades. This piece is softly frosted and beautifully preserved. Amber and golden toning warms the margins, leaving other areas brilliant. The strike is sharp. Population: 38 in 66 (9 in 66+) Full Bands, 6 finer (3/24).(Registry values: N2998)
