Description

1926-D Mercury Dime, MS66 Full Bands
Prohibitive in Finer Grades

1926-D 10C MS66 Full Bands PCGS. The 1926-D mintage of just over 6.8 million pieces is the Denver high-mark for the decade after the 1920-D. Mint State examples are challenging, however, and Full Bands dimes over Gem are scarce. This Full Bands Premium Gem displays soft hues of amber and lilac on lustrous undertones of jade and powder-blue. The legends are slightly soft, and Liberty's curls show signs of faint roller marks. Eye appeal is outstanding, and PCGS reports just seven numerically finer Full Bands examples (3/26).(Registry values: N2998)
