Description

1927-S Dime, MS66+ Full Bands
Among the Finest With CAC Endorsement

1927-S 10C MS66+ Full Bands PCGS. CAC. The quarter dollar of this date and mint is famous for its weak strikes, and the nickel is also challenging with sharp detail. The 1927-S dime is scarce in Full Bands but is only truly rare in Premium Gem condition. This Plus-designated CAC coin displays beautiful satin luster cast in mottled tan-gold and olive-russet toning. No distracting abrasions are seen. Under a loupe, the fasces bands just qualify for the Full Bands designation from PCGS, and the peripheral legends are comparably well brought up. Fewer than two dozen Full Bands coins are reported by PCGS and NGC combined in MS66 and finer grades. Population: 20 in 66 (3 in 66+) Full Bands, 0 finer. CAC: 8 in 66, 0 finer (11/17).(Registry values: N4719)
