Description
Premium Gem 1928-D Mercury Dime, Full Bands
Only Three Finer Certified at PCGS
1928-D 10C MS66 Full Bands PCGS. The 1928-D is a scarce
issue in grades higher than XF, regardless of whether the coin has
full band details or not. It is also an issue that is known for
weakness on the tops of the peripheral letters. That is not the
case with this piece, however, with the only flatness seen at the
top of the I in LIBERTY. The surfaces are nearly flawless and
covered with intense, frosted mint luster that is nicely accented
with a light overlay of golden patina on each side. Population: 16
in 66 Full Bands, 3 finer (7/10).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23HY, PCGS# 4969, GSID# 4564)
