Essentially Unimprovable Toned Specimen

1939-D 10C MS68+ Full Bands PCGS. CAC. The 1939-D is known on occasion for its flamboyant toning, although this CAC-endorsed, Plus-graded Superb Gem takes the spectacular coloration to a new level. Variegated shades of deep-aquamarine, violet, cherry-red, and amber-orange decorate the obverse, while the reverse is brilliant within a frame of orange-gold rims. The coin is virtually unmarked and fully struck from stem to stern.(Registry values: N991)
