1939-D Dime, MS69 Full Bands
Among the Finest Mercury Dimes Known

1939-D 10C MS69 Full Bands PCGS. The 1939-D Mercury dime was well saved in Mint State, likely in roll quantity at the time of issue. It is one of the most plentiful dates from the 1930s and is often seen in sharp Full Bands quality. For most type and date applications, this Denver issue is the ideal acquisition for Mercury dime collectors. It is also the only date in the series that is collectible at the virtually flawless MS69 level at PCGS. That service reports a total of only 26 Mercury dimes in MS69, including a single non-Full Bands 1939 Philadelphia coin and 25 1939-D coins in Full Bands (6/23); one of the latter is offered here. Frosty, radiant mint luster adorns beautifully preserved, glistening surfaces. Blushes of ruby-red, forest-green, and autumn-gold leave large areas of iridescent silver on each side. The strike leaves nothing to be desired, and eye appeal is unmatched. Housed in a green label holder.(Registry values: N1793)
