Description

1940 Mercury Dime, MS68 Full Bands
Impeccable Pastel Toning

1940 10C MS68 Full Bands PCGS. CAC. The satiny surfaces of this coin are so clean they almost appear to be a proof, save for the different surface texture. There is light overlay of golden color throughout both sides with a near-subliminal hint of pastel aqua, and only a tiny tick on Liberty's neck appears under magnification. The Full Bands separation is "all there," with an equally sharp strike elsewhere. Among the finest, and with the CAC endorsement as well. Population: 25 in 68 (1 in 68+) Full Bands, 0 finer (1/13).(Registry values: N991)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23JU, PCGS# 5023, Greysheet# 4512)
