Description

1941 Dime, MS68 Full Bands
Ultimate Type Coin

1941 10C MS68 Full Bands PCGS. With a mintage of more than 175 million pieces (a dime for every man, woman and child in the U.S. in 1941, with some 40 million dimes leftover), it is no surprise that the 1941 is readily available in any and all grades up to MS67. MS68 coins with Full Bands are rare, and eagerly sought by Registry Set enthusiasts and Mercury dime specialists alike. This is a mostly brilliant example -- one of the few MS68 pieces certified -- with a blush of amber-orange obverse toning a razor-sharp strike and impeccable surfaces. Gleaming mint luster illuminates the satinlike obverse and frosted reverse. Population: 17 in 68 (3 in 68+) Full Bands, 0 finer (3/20).(Registry values: N991)
