Description

1941-S 10C MS68 NGC. Small S mintmark. This issue had a mintage in excess of 43 million pieces, and survivors are fairly numerous at most grade levels. Even MS67 coins are relatively available. At MS68, though, this San Francisco Mint product is rare, with fewer than two dozen coins so-graded by NGC and PCGS combined; both with and without Full Bands. This is a splendidly lustrous example that is pristine and essentially brilliant, save for a few touches of milky golden color on the lower left half of the obverse. Census: 6 in 68, 0 finer (9/08). (Registry values: N991)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23JZ, PCGS# 5032, Greysheet# 4605)

Weight: 2.49 grams

Metal: 90% Silver, 10% Copper
