Description

Full Bands Gem 1942/1 Dime

1942/1 10C MS65 Full Bands PCGS. FS-101. This bold overdate on a tiny coin was noticed almost immediately after its release, and as a result, the variety is available today in a wide grade range, from the odd example that got by in circulation for a while to the like-new survivor. On that end of the scale is this marvelous Full Bands Gem, immensely lustrous with a hint of golden toning over parts of the fields. The surface texture is frosty, and the reverse bands offer clean separation. A high-quality example of this Guide Book variety and a condition rarity so fine. Population: 9 in 65 Full Bands, 6 finer (2/11).(Registry values: N7079)
