1942/1 Mercury Dime, FS-101, MS66
Popular Guide Book Variety

1942/1 10C MS66 PCGS. FS-101. CAC. The 1942/1 Mercury dime is the result of a hubbing error which produced the popular overdate late in 1941. The discovery coin was found in circulation by Arnold Cohn and reported in the March 1943 issue of The Numismatic Scrapbook Magazine. The curious overdate was immediately popular with collectors, and the issue brings a strong premium whenever it is offered. The present coin is a sharply detailed Premium Gem, with pristine surfaces and vibrant satiny mint luster. This variety is listed on page 155 of the 2012 Guide Book.
