Description

Singular MS67 Full Bands 1942/1-D Dime

1942/1-D 10C MS67 Full Bands NGC. FS-101, formerly FS-010.8. As the only MS67 Full Bands example in the combined certified population (9/09), the desirability of this Denver overdate dime is without question. Under magnification, the overdate feature is as plain as can be; certainly, this is aided by the remarkably bold strike, which lends impressive detail to both the portrait and the fasces. Minimally toned fields are immensely lustrous with a slightly satiny texture, and just a hint of green-gold patina visits the rims. Magnificent in every respect. The only flaw deserving any mention is a single tiny scrape on the cheek.(Registry values: N10218)
