1942-S Dime, MS68 Full Bands
Tied for Finest With CAC
Top-Grade Registry Example

1942-S 10C MS68 Full Bands PCGS. CAC. The 1942-S is a plentiful date in Full Bands overall, although our consignor chose to bypass the majority of the survivorship and acquired one of the rare top-grade coins -- and not only a top-grade coin, but one of just two pieces at this level with CAC endorsement (9/23). For Registry collectors, this piece is about as good as it gets in terms of both quality and eye appeal. Glistening, frosty mint luster illuminates splashed blue-green toning on each side, while the central strike is sharp. The outer border legends show localized trivial weakness as usual. Population: 10 in 68 (1 in 68+) Full Bands, 0 finer. CAC: 2 in 68, 0 finer (9/23).(Registry values: N2998)
