Description

1945 Full Bands Mercury Dime, MS65
Extremely Rare in Full Bands
Just 42 in 65 and 24 Finer

1945 10C MS65 Full Bands PCGS. CAC. Ex: Holman Collection. Peach highlights softly accentuate silver surfaces. Abrasions are nonexistent, and string is exquisite. The bountiful luster sealed the deal for CAC in their decision to award a "grean bean" to this magnificent coin. However, this coin's crowning achievement is the Full Bands designation. As all Mercury Dime collectors know, Full Bands survivors are significantly more desirable than their non-Full Bands counterparts, as the complete impression of the highest design element is the hallmark of a complete strike. While this is attainable for most issues of Mercury Dimes, Full Bands issues are extremely rare for 1945, despite the mintage of almost 200 million coins. Certified populations underscore this rarity. PCGS Population: 42 in 65, 24 finer (1/26). CAC: 7 in 65, 5 finer (1/26).(Registry values: N2998)
