Description

1945 Gem Full Bands Mercury Dime
Well-Known Strike Rarity

1945 10C MS65 Full Bands PCGS. Ex: Jay Eisenberg. An issue guaranteed to set the hearts of Mercury Dime specialists racing. This premium quality 1945-P dime displays central cross bands that are fully split from end to end--an uncommon feature for an example of this generally hurriedly produced wartime issue. Thick, rich, frosty textured luster blankets both sides and is readily appreciable in the absence of all but the tiniest blemishes. Both sides are smooth and unperturbed, with a lovely silver-white sheen. The key to the Mercury dime series at the Gem Full Bands level. Population: 34 in 65 Full Bands, 16 finer (2/10).
