Description
Complete Mercury Dime Set
Complete Set of Mercury Dimes. Included are:1916 MS 63 Full Bands. Lightly toned.
1916-D AU 58. A virtual mint state coin with the slightest rubbing on the highpoints. Very light toning complements the lustrous fields. A popular twentieth century key.
1916-S MS 62 Full Bands. A hint of toning shows on the obverse.
1921 MS 60 Full Bands Cleaned. Virtually untoned and appearing a higher grade, a number of small hairlines are seen under close examination.
1921-D MS 60 Full Bands Questionable Toning. The obverse is more deeply toned than the reverse, but its originality is questioned.
1925-S MS 63 Full Bands. Fully lustrous and bright, only a few minor marks limit the grade.
1931-D MS 64. Bright cartwheel luster with pale lemon patina.
1942/41 MS 63. Lustrous fields are lightly covered with milky patina. One dark toning spot is mentioned in the right obverse field.
The remainder of the set averages AU 50, a few have been whizzed or otherwise cleaned. The 1934 to 1945 issues are Brilliant Uncirculated. No 1942/41-D is included. All are housed in a black plastic Capital holder.
