Description

1916 Mercury Dime, MS68 Full Bands
Registry-Grade CAC Example

1916 10C MS68 Full Bands PCGS. CAC. The 1916 Philadelphia coin is more plentiful with Full Bands than without, since this first-year issue was well made. Nonetheless, top-grade Full Bands coins are conditionally rare. This is one of just 17 coins in the MS68 Full Bands grade at PCGS, and one of only eight pieces from either service to receive CAC endorsement. The strike is indeed sharp throughout the centers, and satiny luster appears untouched on each side. Vivid amber-red and sun-gold toning envelops the margins, leaving windows of silvery brilliance in the centers. Population: 17 in 68 (1 in 68+) Full Bands, 0 finer. CAC: 8 in 68, 0 finer (1/21).(Registry values: N2998)
