1916-D Mercury Dime, MS63 Full Bands
    Old Green Label Holder

1916-D 10C MS63 Full Bands PCGS. Luster is vibrant on this coin, complementing traces of golden toning, which are slightly deeper on the reverse. Strike sharpness is excellent. The horizontal fasces bands are fully separated, and the peripheral legends do not show any areas of obvious weakness. Under a loupe, scattered small abrasions become apparent, but to the naked eye this coin is visually exceptional for the grade. The 1916-D Mercury dime represents the biggest challenge for collectors of all levels when completing a date and mintmark set of this series. Only 264,000 pieces were struck, making it by far the lowest-mintage issue in the series. Housed in an old green label holder.(Registry values: N4719)
