Description

1942 Dime, PR66
Rare Cameo Designation

1942 10C PR66 Cameo PCGS. CAC. Appreciably frosted over the devices, the fields present a splendid backdrop of deep, watery reflectivity. As befits the grade, the smooth surfaces are hairline-free, and the eye appeal benefits even further from a razor-sharp strike. Delicate, mottled, golden and silver-gray iridescence drifts over both sides. The cameo finish is noteworthy for a proof Mercury dime, and, indeed, this is the only PR66 example graded at PCGS (3/19).
