Charles III Contemporary Counterfeit 8 Reales 1784 Mo-FM AU, Mexico City mint, in the style of KM106.2., 38mm, 24.36gm. A captivating contemporary counterfeit issue that is charmingly crude compared to the regal design, but also rather well-executed. This coin has excellent cabinet patina, a light amount of wear, and also includes an old Seaby Numismatists London dealer ticket that indicates this coin was likely believed to be genuine upon the date of that transaction.From the Mac and Rob Woodside Collection
