Carlos IV silver Proclamation Medal 1790, Grove-C-122, Medina-215, AU58 NGC, "Rey Catolico" obverse legend, La Ciudad de Los Angeles, portrait in high relief, dark but handsome iridescent "old cabinet" gray toning, an elegant example of this classic Proclamacion. Grove gives weight as 45.4 grams and 49mm diameter, whereas the NGC insert cites the weight as 48 grams and the actual diameter is 48 mm.More information about Mexican Coins.
