Description
Estados Unidos brass Specimen Pattern Peso 1979-(Mo) SP65 PCGS, Mexico City mint, KM-Unl., PL-146C (RRR). Eagle with relief feathers, without mintmark. By Ricardo Luna Vasco. An unofficial Pattern executed by the then engraver at the Mexico City mint in anticipation of the official 1980 Pattern Peso. Reportedly, fewer than 10 examples of this issue exist in brass, of which 6 have currently been certified, none finer than the coin on offer here.Privately Purchased from the Family of the Engraver in 2018
