Description

Estados Unidos silver Specimen Pattern Onza 1978-Mo SP61 PCGS, Mexico City mint, KM-Pn212, Buttrey/Hubbard-134, PL-109 (RRRR). An extremely elusive Pattern, displaying a coin press rather than the usual pair of scales on the reverse, and with the word PRUEBA struck in retrograde below the screw press on the obverse. PCGS reports having certified one other example (an SP63), and we have not been able to locate any other specimens having come to auction in recent decades. Not in the Gerber Collection.
