Description

Ferdinand VI gold 8 Escudos 1753 Mo-MF MS60 NGC, Mexico City mint, KM151, Fr-17, Cal-788. One of the better types from Spanish Mexico's most grand numismatic collectible, the 8 Escudos. The Mexico City renditions of this famed five-year type are exceedingly rare in Mint State certification across the entire series. Though quite often found in AU grades, this MS60 is the only NGC graded 1753 specimen to cross the Mint State threshold, and PCGS has yet to certify any date of the type this high. This piece possesses a beautiful, soft, effervescent veneer that is finely aged, not overly bright like a more processed example would carry. Needless to say, this is a special occasion for enthusiasts of the series; may the most determined collector claim prize to this "finest known certified" representative.
